Check our schedules page for tournaments in Charlottesville where you can watch the girls in action & see what it's all about!
New girls are welcome to contact team in the winter, but base of teams is forming now for the spring season.

New girls can start playing with the Redbirds in the fall or spring.

We plan on having at least 3 teams in 2009
14U, 12U, 10U, and maybe a 16U team depending on HS schedules.

All age groups are wide-open for new players.

We are now inviting all girls and their families to our OPEN practices between Aug & September

We are doing away with the formal try-out to make the experience more fun and less stressful for all. After our coaches have seen your daughter and had a chance to talk to parents together we will evaluate if the Redbirds is a good fit for your child, and what age group they would fall into. Desire and natural ability is more important than experience! Please call Anne at 296-4765 to find out our current practice schedules and other info!

We take girls from 8 - 16

---

Scholarships are available - please do not let finances interfere with desire.

SUMMER FUN - pictures from our open practices - all ages

Many thanks to our 2008 sponsors. We can't do it without you!

Part of Cal Ripkin's speech at induction to Hall of Fame July 29th, 2007.
It sums up the Redbird organization's core philosophy:

"Sport can play a big role in teaching values and principles. It can be a huge developmental tool for life. Just think, teamwork, leadership, work ethic and trust are all part of the game and are also all factors in how we make the most of our lives. So an essential part of the job of every player and of all people for that matter is to help the young people of today learn these lessons so they can live better lives tomorrow."
