We actively seek out members of the community to inspire and help our players. Every year we bring in as many female role models as possible so our girls can visualize thier future in this sport! If you have questions about getting your daughter into a college to play softball, feel free to call Marc Powell 434-531-0721 - he has been gathering a lot of information about the process with our contacts. Your child does not need to belong to the Redbirds to talk to Marc about this.

If you are a former player, coach, or assistant that would like to work with our great girls, please call anytime - 434-531-0721.
We welcome outside help and appreciate any time you can give.

Anne's been a driving force behind field use for the girls of Albemarle County. After years of being told girls needed to "find fields" where they could, Anne spearheaded an effort to bring girls into the field distribution mix. As of 2007, the best fields and parks were either asigned to adult rec leagues, or boys baseball programs. Coaches and families stepped up with letters and appeals to parks and rec directors, and they responded.

Today girls are playing in Charlottesville on a regular basis at the best facilities in town! A perfect weekend for Anne is seeing a park full of young girls and their families playing softball!
