We actively seek out members of the community to inspire and help our players. Every year we bring in as many female role models as possible so our girls can visualize thier future in this sport! Here are a few of our mentors. If you have questions about getting your daughter into a college to play softball, feel free to call Marc 434-531-0721 - he has been gathering a lot of information about the process with our contacts. Your child does not need to belong to the Redbirds to talk to Marc about this.
If you are a former player, coach, or assistant that would like to work with our great girls, please call anytime - 434-531-0721.
We welcome outside help and appreciate any time you can give.

Anne Powell
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
Anne is the utility person on the squad.... from building
websites to coaching.... whatever needs to be done.
She's been coaching softball for over 8 years and took a Little League All Star team to 3rd place in the county. She's coached the 10U Redbirds for one season, with numerous victories.
When Anne graduated HS in 1980 there were few choices at the college level for athletic girls in all sports. Title IX had just kicked in when she was 10 so there was not much out there for girls growing up in those days! Therefore, it's a personal joy and the driving force behind her desire to coach and support all young athletic girls today!
